Director of Development- Individual Giving

 

The YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit is seeking candidates for the position of Director for Individual Giving for the association consisting of 12 branches, two resident camps and 4 program centers.

 The Director of Individual Giving reports directly to the EVP of Development, and is responsible for the development of the major giving program including: goals, benchmarks, and tools to track deliverables. Manage a portfolio of prospects consisting of private and family foundations and individuals capable of gifts of $10,000+. Work with Director of Annual Giving to oversee campaign and major gifts-focused stewardship and cultivation events, develop long-term fundraising plans by working with branch leadership to identify fundraising needs.

 Candidates must have expertise in working with top business and community leaders, developing collaborations and partnerships, charitable giving vehicles, cultivating and stewarding donors, and creating presentation materials to support fundraising efforts.  Candidates should have experience with the Microsoft Windows environment on a PC, Microsoft Office Suite and database management. Multi-tasking and working from the road throughout YMCA of Metro Detroit service area is required.  Excellent written, oral and organizational skills are required.
