Gifts of Life Insurance- CANCELLED

Presenter: Gary Pforzheimer, PG Calc

Approximately 40% of U.S. households own individual life insurance policies with a total death benefit of over 12 trillion dollars. This huge pool of assets can be an important source of charitable gifts. Unfortunately, the way some life insurance giving programs have been promoted has made many gift planners reluctant to pursue life insurance gifts of any kind.

In this webinar, we will review the different types of life insurance and how they can be used by a donor to make excellent charitable gifts during life or at death. We will also consider a number of practical questions about accepting, crediting, and managing life insurance policies. Gary Pforzheimer will include in his discussion life insurance gifts that charities may be wise to avoid.
