Biography - Sheryl Gray
Sheryl Gray is a dedicated public servant and community advocate with a strong background in urban planning, nonprofit management, and civic engagement. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University and a Master’s in Public Administration. In January 2026, she earned the CFRE. Certified Fundraising Executive credential.
Sheryl spent 17 years with the City of Detroit’s Planning & Development Department as a Senior Development Specialist, where she played a key role in shaping community-focused initiatives and development strategies. She later transitioned into the nonprofit sector as a Fund Development Manager, with a focus on volunteer coordination, community development, and fundraising.
Committed to lifelong service, Sheryl actively volunteers with agencies throughout Southeast Michigan.
