And Now This: Investment Uncertainty and Charitable Giving (Webinar)
Presenter: Craig Wruck, Senior Advisor for PG Calc
Wildly variable investment markets have become the norm and investment performance – and future expectations – have an impact on many aspects of charitable giving including endowment distributions, charitable remainder trust payouts, gift annuity liabilities, and especially donors’ willingness to even consider a charitable contribution. In this session, we begin with a brief review of practical implications of investment uncertainty on charitable gift vehicles and then discuss how we can communicate with donors regarding these challenging matters.
Craig’s experience in charitable giving spans more than 40 years in leadership positions in both nonprofit and for-profit organizations including Humboldt State University, the University of Minnesota, and The Saint Paul Community Foundation as well as U.S. Trust Company and US Bank. He currently serves as Senior Advisor for PG Calc.
He is past president of the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners and is the author of Planned Giving in a Nutshell, a practical guide to planned giving for development generalists. He earned his MBA from the University of St. Thomas and his bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Utah.
