The Planned Giving Roundtable is seeking engaging presenters for our 2027 educational programming. This year’s programming will explore three areas that are essential to successful planned giving:
DONOR STRATEGY & MARKETING
Strategies for identifying, engaging, cultivating, and inspiring donors to consider legacy giving.
Topics might include:
Donor identification and engagement
Planned giving marketing and messaging
Legacy societies and stewardship
Donor journeys and storytelling
Integrating planned giving into fundraising strategy
Data-informed approaches
TECHNICAL EXCELLENCE
Practical knowledge to help fundraising professionals confidently navigate the technical side of planned giving.
Topics might include:
Estate and gift planning fundamentals
Complex and non-cash gifts
Tax and legal considerations
Beneficiary designations
Charitable trusts and other gift vehicles
Gifts of real estate or other assets
Working effectively with advisors
Emerging issues in charitable planning
ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Ideas for building stronger programs, organizations, and careers in planned giving.
Topics might include:
Building organizational support for planned giving
Developing or strengthening a planned giving program
Leadership and career development
Cross-department collaboration
Ethics and professional standards
Trends shaping the future of planned giving
WHO SHOULD SUBMIT?
We welcome proposals from a broad range of professionals, including:
Nonprofit fundraising and development professionals • Planned giving professionals • Financial planners and wealth advisors • Estate planning and tax attorneys • Trust and estate professionals • Philanthropy and community leaders • Consultants and educators • Other professionals with relevant expertise
You don’t have to be a professional speaker. We want practitioners with ideas, expertise, experiences, and practical tools that can help others do their work better.
WHAT MAKES A GREAT SESSION?
We’re looking for sessions that:
Provide practical, actionable takeaways
Offer a fresh perspective, new idea, or lesson learned
Address real-world challenges in charitable giving
Encourage conversation and peer learning
Are educational rather than primarily promotional
Presentations, workshops, panels, case studies, and facilitated discussions are all welcome.
